The 'magic' spectacles

One day, we got our eyes checked in school. I couldn't see what they're asking us to read, and I cried. Many of my friends cried too. The person who checked us consoled us, saying that it's ok. We'll be able to see again after Mommy got us a pair of nice spectacles. I brought home a note with my prescription power that day.

After I got my pink spectacles, I was amazed. "Wow, Mommy, the white board is so much clearer now!". It's like magic!
Mommy said I look like an old maid... bad Mommy

Oh, luckily I didn't need to wear it for long. Read here if you're interested to find out more!

My New Baby

Yes, we've got a new addition to the family :) And, it's a baby girl! I got her from Toyland (as Jie Jie called it), and I hand-picked her myself.

Unlike Jie Jie who's not attracted to dolls, I was immediately drawn to the dolls on display. Mommy noticed the similarity to the dolls that I liked - hairless like me! I kept pointing to them and said, Baby.

In the end, Mommy let me chose what I wanted and here's what I got. Initially, she tried to choose others which she thought was nicer, meaning with more hair. But I pushed them all away, and I insisted that I wanted this (grinned!).

But, you know what? Actually my baby had a bonnet too, but I didn't want to let her put it on.

I liked to pull the bonnet away so that I can see the hairless state :) Even Jie Jie laughed at me, she tried to convince me to choose another doll with bonnet, smaller ones, and pulled off the bonnet for me to see, while saying, "You see, this one also no hair one". But I didn't want that, I insisted on this one. Finally Daddy got it for me, I wouldn't even want to let the cashier scanned it so she had to pulled off the tag to scan, while my baby was secured in my hands.

So this week, I took my baby over to the babysitter's place too. And the babysitter told Mommy that I couldn't sleep without the baby, because there was once Mommy forgot to let me take her there. Funny, I was not that attached to it when at home, maybe I have Mommy with me.

This photo was taken this morning, while I was preparing to go to the babysitter's place.

My First Bento!

Mommy never thought she would need to prepare any bento for me before this, because I always ate what was served without a fuss since small. But somehow, now I was more fussy...

With this bento, she managed to excite me for awhile. At least, I tried nearly all the food, even though I didn't like pumpkin and the baked potato, or rice...

Gong Xi Fatt Chai!

Chinese New Year is just round the corner. And I've been taught how to say Gong Xi Fatt Chai by Chik Chik and Amah. They said I was supposed to greet people with these words, and I've been practising hard. And now, I could say it out by myself :)
And oh yes. I was supposed to make sure that the camera setting is right this time. But it happened again. So, you might not be able to see me clearly. I was posing with a big smile in my chinese costume (which was bought by Mommy last year for cousin Sarah, but she couldn't fit into it already so Kim Poh let me wear it instead). And did you see my new shoes? Yes, finally I could wear it now, it's a birthday gift from Aunty Joyce. My, how fast I've grown!

Of Pressies and Toys

I had many presents from my 2nd birthday, and most of them were toys. I did get some clothes, shoes and books too, of course apart from the ang pows.

Here are some of my belated birthday gifts, but I loved them all the same.

How do I play this, Daddy?

Amah also gave me a bicycle, which was rather different from the one that Kim Poh gave me (hey, yes. I have 2 bicycles this year!). After a few days, I managed to cycle around on my own, much to her delight. You see, there's a small compartment at the bag to put my bunny backpack too. And I've had fun playing with the drawing board that Mommy bought for me. However, I always crossed my boundaries and even scribbled the red frame too. That caused Daddy to be angry, so finally he put some papers on top and reminded me not to cross the boundaries.

Well, there were other boundaries to take note of too, but I didn't comply. One day, I was left alone for awhile, and when Mommy came to check on me, she saw that I've scribbled my hand, arm and even the sleeve of my T-shirt with the blue marker pen. She was really angry and tried to clean me and my T-shirt. Unfortunately, my shirt's ink could not come off. So from then onwards, everytime I wanted to draw, Mommy would let me wear her black T-shirt so that the ink wouldn't show. Daddy laughed at me and said that I looked like Harry Potter... What do you think?

New Swimsuit

I had a chance to try my new swimsuit finally, when Uncle Kok Chen brought his daughter for a swim at our condo. Mei Mei doesn't have a swimsuit, so Daddy suggested to let her wear my old one, as it was a little too small for me. Mommy has put that away with the rest of my old clothes which can't fit me anymore. That's how I got to wear my new one :) But I was too excited to go to the pool and wouldn't let Mommy and Daddy put the floats into my new swimsuit. So, I didn't get to experience the floating effect of it. But, I still have a great time.

Mei Mei was really brave, she dared to let the water splash on her face! See how wet her face was compared to mine...

Small Ee Ee was here, she came to stay with us during the weekends since she was still on holidays.

Daddy is back!

It's just 2 weeks, but I felt like ages! Finally Daddy returned from his business trip. Mommy kept her promise of not leaving me alone, so she didn't go with Daddy this time. See what Daddy had got for me while he was in US?
This is my first pair of sport shoes. And since I've outgrown my old swimming suit (that is for up to 18 months old), Daddy decided to get me a new one. This swimming suit can 'float' and was supposed to help me got over my fear of not able to touch the base. Well, we'll see...

As for the Baby Einstein DVDs, Daddy was supposed to get me a different series so that I could exchange them with my playmates' collections later. But it was already too late because by the time Mommy discovered that, he had already bought it. And guess how vain Daddy was? Did I really get my good looks from him??? Haha, I'll leave that to Mommy to clarify with him :)

I wasted no time in testing out my new outfit. Hmm... they were a little too big for me, so Amah proposed to reserve those for the coming Chinese New Year. That would be next year! I was not sure if I could wait that long!

Water Bottle

Mommy bought me a new water bottle today, after my last 2 were broken. Previously, I've got two water bottles, one as a gift from Mommy & Daddy's friend when I was just born, and the 2nd one from Amah. Unfortunately, I broke them both, coz I loved to throw them unto the floor. So, today Mommy redeemed this for me (she got some extra points from the car seat that she bought me). I love sipping water from it. Well, hopefully this will last...

Chip and Dale

Cute boh? This is the new outfit that my 2nd uncle bought for me from Hatyai. See, got tale one hoh... He also bought a lot of snacks but my mum said those are for adults, I should only drink "nen-nen"... (how unfair, I want to complain!!!)
Soooooooo tired, after the chip-and-dale dance!
